Hostal Costa Azul is set in Granada’s historic center, 5 minutes' walk from the Cathedral and within the Realejo-San Matias district. The Alhambra can be reached in 15 minutes by foot. Housed in a 19th-century building, Hostal Costa Azul is located just 164 feet from Plaza del Carmen and the City Hall. Characteristic of the region, it is built around a courtyard with a central fountain surrounded by flowers, a wisteria plant and original ‘azulejo’ tiles – ideal for escaping the summer heat. From this small, family-run hotel you can easily walk to Plaza Nueva and the charming, whitewashed Albaicín district, or climb the wooded hillside to the imposing Alhambra Palace. In the other direction you will soon find the Cathedral and chic shopping streets of the city center.

Comfortable large and quiet room, wonderful communication with the friendly staff, super location.

Great location, nice hosts, great room with terrace
Most amazing lady to check us in. Location cannot be beat. The room was much bigger than I had realized or expected from the pictures.
Two things I think people show be informed about are - there is no elevator and you will have to carry your luggage up a staircase or two, depending on the floor you get.
Also, Spanish is kind of a must in Granada. At least the basics. All my communication with the host was in Spanish, but I presume she has a way to translate for non-Spanish speakers.
Great location with many restaurants nearby. Alhambra was within walking distance. Very quiet (we were on top floor facing the back). But there is no elevator. Furnishings were a bit old. But bed was comfortable and shower was great. Staff were very helpful. Parking was tricky to find but they came and helped us find the garage and then walked us back to the hostal.
