The location was great - right in the middle of the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona. It was also a bonus to have an elevator, as my wife had some knee issues and appreciated not having to walk up the stairs. I also really enjoyed having the balcony to look out over the city. The staff was also very nice and helpful!
The staff were wonderful! Very helpful and accommodating. There are no coffee or tea machines in the rooms, but the hostal does have complimentary hot beverages in the lobby.
The rooms were fairly small (to be expected in an old building in the Gothic Quarter), but they were clean and comfortable. And the location is FANTASTIC!
I would definitely stay in this hotel again!
Location, location, location! Being in the heart of the Born is great to enjoy the enchanting streets, bars, restaurants and nightlife of Barcelona. The value for what you get was expected. The room was not large but was sufficient for what we needed. The bathroom was a little tight but the shower was nice and hot. I enjoyed the charm of looking out onto the narrow streets with two separate balconies in this particular room. The old wooden doors were really cool and actually blocked a ton of light. This property is a great bang for the buck for a short stay.
The room is really small as described BUT is very comfortable and super clean! Very nice!!!
