Owner was very nice. I was the only tenant that night because there was an all night town celebration going on. He gave me an advance warning and was going to let me out of the agreement due to this event. I told him I wanted the place. He gave me a free cerveza which was very nice.

The place had an elevator and was clean. Close to the cathedral.

Location was close to the Camino and to the rest of the town.

Took a rest day here on the Camino Frances, earlier check-in time made it convenient, stayed in a 4bed private room with a Juliet Balcony overlooking the quaint street below and view to the centuries old cathedral tower. Bright, clean, everything in good working order, wifi signal/bandwidth was good, guest registration was quick and easy, there is a lift for those unable to manage the stairs (or convenient for popping your baggage in - and call it when you get to your floor). Plenty of restaurants nearby. Many historical sites including information, in this former walled city. Was a perfectly peaceful place to rest,

The Hostel la Catedral was very clean and neat. Three twin beds with textile sheets, blanket, and comforter as well as an extra (heavy) blanket and pillow for each bed. Toiletries (toilet paper, soap, and shampoo were provided as well as towels. Free wifi and a small TV were also provided as well as adequate outlets to recharge phones. The room was on the 2nd floor (a very small elevator was provided, but we walked up) The hostel is located approximately 400-600 m from the catedral front door. The building is secured with a locked door with a key code for return access. Very easy. The photos were spot on. A small fruit/vegetable market was out the door, just a few steps away. A wonderful bakery was also very nearby. Excellent location.
