Hotel Peninsular is a historic property that has been well maintained keeping its early 1900’s Art Nouveau vibe. The floor are beautiful tile and clear glass. It was home to the Friars in the 1800 the became a hotel which is now third generation. If you’re a history buff, this is your place.
Some rooms are small with just the basic essentials: air conditioning, tub/shower, beds. We did not have a TV which was fine because it’s located in the heart of Barcelona and we enjoyed their free breakfast then enjoyed the city.
I love the location. It is near the metro station and with walking distance to restaurants and shops and attractions.
Hotel was in great location. Enjoyed their breakfast, which was included. Staff was very polite & helpful, especially Viviana at front desk.
Adorable old hotel. They didn’t have a room with two beds but luckily they did have a family room available with 4 beds so they were able to give my friend and me that room. Location was great, just down from Las Rambla. Friendly staff were helpful with several requests. Breakfast spread was great.
The location was perfect — right in the city center and also very close to the beach. Considering the price, the room was already quite good. I can’t comment on the breakfast as I didn’t try it due to waking up late.
