The studio I stayed in was about the right size to be quickly cooled down by AC and it sports modern furniture and appliances. There are two shared washers with built-in dryers, which came in very handy.
Everything was clean and in excellent condition. The internet was super fast, too.
The location is right at the edge of old town and at the base of the Castro, which means plenty of access to cool stuff.
