Pension El Pozo was an unexpected gem for a Camino pilgrim. It's only about 1k from the Camino itself, but stands in the gateway to Cudillero, which is a town that all pilgrims should visit. Hugo checked me in with a warm welcome, and the room, bathrooms, and bed were all super clean and comfy. Would 100% recommend!

Very clean room, nicely situated (a 15min walk to the plaza, and near a supermarket and bus station). Room filled its purpose, I had a very nice stay. Didn't meet the owner but I guess that's a nice thing meaning I didn't need anything and everything went smoothly.

About what I expected. Check in entirely online, which is good for me but others might not like it. Location was also good for me, between the train station and the town center. It is very hilly though, so less physically fit people might find it more challenging. Everything was always very clean, and having a sink and tissues provided in the room was nice.

I was surprised that for this price you can have spacious and clean room and comfortable bed. My stay was perfect and I think everyone who visits el Pozo will appreciate all the little details - like tissues by the bed, air freshener and cleaning product in the bathroom as it is shared, enough hangers to put your things, hand soap. Everything was really clean and nice and it is great there is a parking outside. I walked to the city center and I recommend that instead of taking the car and trying to park somewhere downtown. There is online check-in possibility which is really great as this way you do not need to hurry and rush your trip/visit in order to get the key on time. Communication with the host was fast and great, thank you so much, thank you for making great stay affordable.

Clean room in a quiet, peaceful area. Nice outside sitting space. Helpful, friendly host.
