Had to book it at the last minute to get my dogs out of the heat in north Portugal. Lovely cool wooden interior with stone floor and wide staircase to upper floor. Lovely friendly host

Good stop off before ride down to Santander. Getting food was a slight issue, had to cycle 4 miles, but found a great place... and there are places nearer, but they were shut
For me the location was perfect, just forty minutes drive from the ferry port of Santander. The hotel is a little hard to find, it certainly challenged my GPS.
The property is a lovely old building very tastefully restored. My room was very clean and comfortable. The host couldn't be more friendly and helpful. I appreciate that my dog was made very welcome.
