This is a self-contained hideaway in a beautiful part of Spain. The annex is really comfortable and relaxing after a day's walking and the welcome is warm. And the view is wonderful. We loved it but it might not be for everyone: the area is isolated and there are limited options for food and shopping nearby. This is obviously not a negative about the accommodation but we would have benefited from taking some more supplies.

We booked the self-contained cottage that is located adjacent to the hotel. The hotel was closed for the season so we sadly did not get to see the library, dining room, bar etc. But the cottage was excellent - large, very comfortably furnished with a wood burning fire place that I think is used in the colder months, clean and with a comfortable bed. There is a great view over the surrounding hills and the centre of the small town is only a couple of minutes walk away. The cottage is heated, which was appreciated as the temperature dropped to 4 degrees C overnight. We were there to walk and there are many excellent walking opportunities in the area. The nearby Parador (7 min drive way) provides the opportunity for finer dining if desired, although we cooked our own meals in the well provided kitchen. A great place to stay.

It's part of a gorgeous property with a lovely garden. The flat is well-organised. The fireplace worked really well, as did the (underfloor!) heating. It was nice to hang out in the afternoon and evening by the fire. The bed was quite small but comfy.
