A charming hotel in a beautiful village with good restaurants nearby. We were made to feel very welcome and every care was taken to make our stay special.
A homely and cosy comfortable Bed and Breakfast kind of place. The posada is in a quiet location but still quite central to the lovely little town of Puente Viesgo. A great place to stay as a pit stop en route to the ferry port or as a base for exploring this beautiful part of Spain, including the nearby Castillo cave with its prehistoric rock paintings. Comfortable beds and the breakfast was more than adequate. Ownership changed during our two night stay so we met both the very friendly family who ran it when we arrived (and on our previous visit some years ago) and the new owner, Cristina, who is just as welcoming and intent on her guests enjoying their stay. Talking with her we gained the impression that, while no doubt she will make some changes, the welcoming ambience will be the same. We’ll definitely be back.
