Close to the transportation ( renfe) A bottle of water would be nice in the fridge!!

The location and views were fantastic. Right next to the train station. Very easy to explore the area. Also, a convenient bus stop with good links. Set in a great position in a nice residential area with fantastic views down to the coast. No noise nuisance. Local bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Very friendly staff who couldn't have been more helpful in the circumstances. They were all new to the hotel. Especially the very friendly head bar man Angelo. His good-natured banter and cheerfulness helped us see funny side of things. For all the faults I am listing below we would go again. The outside pool and bar area was lovely and well-equipped with new outside furniture. The maids came in daily to freshen up even at weekends. The hotel had been shut for refurbishment for 2 months and reopened on our first day. Although to be fair it could still do with some improvements! It obviously opened too soon because there were lots of issues. Problems with the electrics. Key cards and a lack of basic equipment in the kitchen.We were provided with a new kettle and toaster but had to keep asking for cups glasses knives frying pans and saucepans. The first night we were frozen as the patio doors were open when we arrived to get rid of the smell of fresh paint. However the electric kept cutting out so the air conditioning wouldn't work. We moved rooms the following day and the second room was better but still had problems. The card key box was faulty we lost count of the times we had to go back down stairs to have it reactivated. We ran out of hot water and had to have Pepe the handyman fix this. Paco the electrician also became well known to us! Also a lot of the redecorating left a lot to be desired. You also have to pay for WIFI even in public areas and leave a deposit for the remotes for the TV and air conditioning. Also the hairdryer which was brand new and boxed. There was also a lack of plugs for the sink wash hand basin etc. A universal plug is to be recommended. Our second room had 2 balconies. One that catches the morning sun and the other the afternoon and evening sun. Unfortunately we couldn't use the smaller balcony in a morning as the furniture provided for the larger second balcony would not fit through the patio door!
