Expansive hotel within the city walls at the very top of Montepulciano. Clean room, no frills but everything needed. Breakfast option was welcome as it would likely be a significant walk to find an alternative in the morning. Close to the village square.

Albergo Duomo is located on the highest level of this ancient Tuscan hilltop town, steps from the main square and close to great restaurants and wine cellars. It occupies a period building, and while it is fully-equipped, it is not trying to match today's guest room standards. The bathroom is small, and the furnishings are basic. There is an elevator, but steps were required to reach our room, and in general experiencing Montepulciano would be challenging for those with mobility issues. There are steep inclines to negotiate, including the walk between the hotel and the hotel's reserved parking spaces. Otherwise, Montepulciano and the Albergo Duomo are wonderful, charming, and breathtaking. It's an immersive experience, and in our case made all the better by the gracious and efficient staff at the hotel. Hopefully, we will be back for a longer stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. If you are looking for a modern, plush room, this is not the hotel. Rather, this hotel is filled with old world Midevil charm that offered many creative photograph opportunities. The location was perfect, in the heart of the old fortress. The staff was courteous and helpful. Montepuluciano is a very enchanting place, and this hotel upheld its own.

Room was clean and comfortable. Location in the city of Montepulciano was excellent. Great value for the price!
