Super location right at the city center, with many bars and restaurants around. Very clean and relatively quiet for the central location. Beautiful rooftop terrace. Friendly owner.
Appartamento Palazzo Pace al Cassaro is located right in the historical area of Palermo.
The host was extremely kind and helpful. The apartment is located in the city center, with easy access to the monuments and stores. Great customer service and facility. The apartment is very beautiful and unique
The apartment is situated in the heart of old Palermo with walking access to historical sights, markets, piazzas and numerous fabulous eateries. The train station is approximately 15 minutes walk which we used for a day trip to Cefalu. Access to the apartment is by either stairs or a lift. Once inside it is large and very spacious. It was also very clean. There are two internal floors with one of the bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and pans so self-catering is available. Up a further flight of stairs gives access to a roof terrace with views. We were greeted by the owner’s mother who was very warm and welcoming. She is adept at using a translate tool which made communication easy.
We were looking forward to be able to experience the gone-by era of the palazzos in the historic area of Palermo. To some extent this became true as the rather ample apartment is located in such an old building. The location could not be better as a starting point to explore Palermo, with ample choice of restaurants, bars, bakeries near by and the closeness to the Quatro Cantii. The outdoor area in the top terrace certainly was an added bonus for late sunny afternoon book reads. Overall the rooms were comfortable, as were the beds and available 3 bathrooms, albeit one being a bit quaint. The apartment was overall quiet once the night settled in but the air con in the bedrooms (only) - particularly those facing the main street - were strategic to beat the heat and warrant silence overnight.
