Ca' dei Lanari is a beautiful house in very peaceful surroundings. It is well equipped, and even although it is an old property, it has the modern facilities you would hope for. That doesn't mean the old character of the property has been obliterated; far from it - it is a wonderfully characterful building which has retained so many of its fine features. The pool is a great addition, especially in the heat! With just three units on site the pool is not likely to be 'busy' at any time of the day.

Superb location - stunning countryside but only 10-15 min drive from Assisi (the most beautiful town we visited in Umbria). The views from the pool were incredible - such a peaceful place to chill in the sunshine. The apartment itself was very good value for money - we had 3 large double rooms, each with its own en-suite and a well equipped kitchen/lounge area. Really enjoyed sitting outside for breakfast listening to the birdsong. Owner and other guests very friendly.

Beautiful and peaceful property short drive from Assisi. Marina was an excellent host. We felt really at home during our stay and it was an excellent base to explore the nearby Italian towns.

This is a stunning property, in a secluded location on a rolling Umbrian hill, among oaks and meadows. The pool is fantastic and the property is super well equipped, including a pizza oven and a huge BBQ outside. Inside, there’s everything from hair dryer to a very well equipped kitchen. We loved everything. Marinella is an amazing, attentive and non-intrusive host, and she’s poured her heart into this stunning Umbrian hideaway. And the towns around - Assisi, Gubbio, Perugia, Siena, Montepulciano, Chiusi, Florence - are, obviously, worthy of a separate post!

The property is beautifully located in a wonderful country setting. Assisi is roughly 15mins away. The swimming pool area is in a lovely position looking out across rolling hillsides. The property's position gives it the benefit of both constant sunshine and a soft breeze bringing a gentle temperature throughout the day. Everything in the property was refined down to the smallest detail. At the same time the house has been carefully planned so as to preserve an 'old world' charm. The WiFi worked perfectly. The furnishings and beds were all of very high quality. Not least the owner Marinella was ever prepared to offer advice and fine unobtrusive hospitality.
