Beautiful, spacious apartment just outside the Catania gate- easy walk to & from center. We loved Taormina & this was a great place to stay for 3 days, but it works for longer stays as well with all the comforts of home- washing machine, comfy bed, large living room, well-appointed kitchen etc. Enjoyed people watching from the balcony, lots of locals in the neighborhood. Cafe just across street for breakfast. Visited owner at her cute bar in Castlemola, she is very nice & was easy to get ahold of if we needed anything.
We absolutely loved every little thing about the place! Taormina is charming as is but Casa Il Faro is the place to be! It located only a few steps away from Corso Umberto I, grocery store, ATM, amazing restaurants and the best cannoli spot in town so I believe that gives you plenty of reason to visit.
The host were welcoming and available 24/7, ready to offer all kinds of advice. At the desk we found all sorts of excursion options and clear instructions for anything we may need.
I can’t recommend this place enough. It has it all! Compliments to the host again!
We got engaged on our trip there so it will forever be our point of return to Sicily.
Our host Serena was excellent. She was incredibly generous and accommodating, and she provided an excellent and thorough list of recommendations around town. Location was fantastic, a two minute walk from great restaurants and cafes. Apartment was nice and had everything we needed.
Very good location in quiet area just out of the old part of Taormina, near grocery store. Very comfortable with AC, kitchen, and washing machine. Would highly recommend!
The apartment is in a perfect location, very close to the main pedestrian street with beautiful sights, restaurants and shops. It is also very easy to get down to the island of Isola Bella by cable car. The apartment was excellent, there is absolutely everything you could want, and the host of the apartment, Serena, is great, very responsive, kind and helpful. Serena gave all the directions where to leave the car, how to find the apartment, favorite places to eat, etc. Serena had prepared welcome snacks, juices and water, it was very nice. We were delighted with everything, great experience renting this apartment, definitely recommend it to everyone.
