This was our first time visiting Porto Venere. The apt was more than we expected. We were only there for 1 night but next time we will stay longer. The apt was very large, bed and linens very comfortable. For us, who love the feel of ancient cities, with the comfort of modernization it was perfect. Marco is a charming man. We would have like the opportunity to become better acquainted. The only thing I need to warn travelers about are the stairs. You will be in a ancient walled city. Old stone streets and large stone stairs. The perfect place to stay while visiting Cinqua Terra especially by sea as the ferry is right here at the dock.

Everyone writes about the incredible host Marco...and with good reason! We stayed two nights at Casa Lorenza, easy to find thanks to good directions and communication from Marco. Wonderfully located in Porto Venere, calm, spacious, very clean, quality beds and linen. A perfect base for exploring the town and surrounding areas. Thank you again Marco for making our stay so memorable and hope to see you again.

This was a great location and Marco was amazing! We were a bit frazzled from our drive and we were having some issues pariking (on us, completely!) and by the time we got to the location we were beat. Marco was wonderful and helpful, and suggested that we go for a swim -- we had already gone swimming earlier in the day, but we decided to folow his advise. Amazing! It was exactly what we needed and we felt completely rejuvenated. We asked his advice on dinner and other activities and every single recommendation was fabulous! The location was convenient to all the best sights while still quiet enough to get some rest. We would definitely stay here again -- we actually talked about trying to extend but it was already booked the next night.

Great location right in the centre of town which makes it very convenient for enjoying the evenings. The disadvantage is that it is difficult to bring the suitcases to the apartment if you are not in a good condition. Despite its central location, the apartment was quite and one could sleep well as it did not get so hot. The only thing one had to get used to was the little daylight but as one spends the day outside anyway, this should not be a problem

Lovely spacious apartment with excellent facilities. Easy checkin, communication was good and Marco greeted us at the door. Yes there are steps, but it should be expected in Portovenere. Beautiful town and a great base for the Cinque Terre
