Our spacious apartment with a big terrace was situated on the first floor. The owners lived on the ground floor and had their grandchildren spending summer holidays there. We felt perfect there and everything was calm arround 10 pm. Actually, the location itself was very calm. There was absolutely no noise from cars at night. It was just a 13-minute walk to the beach and arround 7 minutes by bike which were at our disposal. We went to a couple of beaches on Elba and we found out that we liked the one in Marina di Campo being the best one. It is a very long beach with fine sand and pristine water that is clear and does not get murky.
The kitchen is equipped with literally everything you may need. The owners did not speak English, however, we managed to communitate thanks to mobile phones. It at least made my wife start learning Italian via Duolingo.
