Breakfast wasn't included, which was fine.
It was wonderful to have so much space, even the small sitting room is remembered as big with its beautiful, tall domed ceiling and fabulous reclining sofa so you can enjoy the view comfortably!
Historical notes about the property made it even more special.
The location of this apartment is almost perfect. It is very close to the Etruscan archeological park and to the main attractions of Tarquinia. including the Archeological Museum.The host did an excellent job for restoring and preserving this very old apartment. We were impressed with the personal chapel, a very interesting document describing the history of the building and the apartment in particular. We appreciate the complexity of integrating modern design into the a few centuries old building structure. We also were impressed with the uncommon book collection that included even works of Oriana Fallaci. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was nicely equipped with all appliances and cookware.
Fantastic location for visiting the lovely town of Tarquinia. The restoration of an old building is beautiful. Everything for the comfort of guests has been thought of. Parking is easy and close to the property
The apartment is absolutely gorgeous! It has been beautifully renovated in its old style with lots of modern features. The apartment is spotlessly clean and well supplied with kettle, microwave etc. and an excellent, very modern heating system. The bedroom is very large with an amazingly soft bed and a separate lounge area so there is definitely room to spread out. To access the apartment there is 2 flights of wide stairs and for those with mobility concerns please note, there is a couple of stairs in the apartment leading down to the bedroom but also steep stairs leading up to the bathroom. Location is right in the historic old city and just meters from restaurants and small grocery stores. The host, Antonio, was fabulous and we really appreciated all of his assistance.
