The location was perfect. The facilities amazing. We had a beautiful view. We could hear the cowbells from the hillside meadow. Bedding: mattress, pillow, sheets were top quality and so comfortable. Wonderful breakfast & dinner at the on-site restaurant. One of our favorite stays on our month-long journey through Italy & Austria.

Haus am Turm is a boutique hotel located in the center of old town Sterzing. This comfortable oasis is beautifully decorated and offers amenities -- like a rooftop deck, sauna, bathrobes and free coffee -- that are typically not found in other hotels at this price. The rooms are spacious & minimally outfitted (no TVs!), with well-appointed bathrooms and strong WiFi (not often the case in old brick buildings!) The breakfast was excellent. It combined a well-stocked buffet with made-to-order eggs.

The best stay experience we have had. It felt like to coming home but coming home to the most beautifully designed home that has thought of every detail. The natural light, natural materials, the spa and the wonderful slow breakfast were just what we needed after a few days hiking in the mountains. The clock tower and pedestrian strip on the doorstep and mountains from the balcony. Unreal.

The owners were very personable and extremely helpful, going above and beyond with their service. It was centrally located and they operated a restaurant where we dined for dinner. The special that day was fresh fish which we all ordered and loved. They had an excellent breakfast in the morning. I only wish we had longer to stay.

Everything was high quality, from the bed linens to the windows to the clean, serene esthetics. The location is perfect and the owner and staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely choose this property again!
