Amazing view over the valley, both from our room and balcony, as well as from the Restaurant. Nice, old-fashioned interiour. Friendly staff and the breakfast was great, too.

This property exudes old world charm, and the views are spectacular. The drive up the mountain to the hotel is a little bit shaky because of the narrow road and hairpin turns, but that’s part of the charm. Situated in a small village atop Santa Maria del Monte whose main focal point is a magnificent UNESCO recognized church covered with frescoes, statues and mosaics. One can spend the day exploring the history, streets and alleys of the village. And the majestic views from the hotel are stunning!
Now, the Hotel restaurant - simply amazing! We had an “eight thoughts of the chef” experience that featured eight separate courses of divine creativity , superb presentation, attentive service and exquisite dining. The meal was magnificent and could have been better ONLY if it had been warm enough to dine al fresco.
The decision to stay here was spur of the moment, and it was truly the highlight of our journey. we highly recommend Hotel Colonne!
