The hotel in located on the grand promenade and less than 100 meters from the embarkation point for boats plying Lake Como. As a person who lived 10 years in Italy, three of which were in Compagna, my favorite meal consists of an Insalata Caprese, with the best possible mozzarella. The restaurant, an affiliate of the hotel, with dining al fresca, nine steps directly across the promenade, serves mozzarella from Compagna as fresh as it should be. An ATM is ten steps to the left as you depart the front entrance. A pool is secluded directly behind the hotel. The hotel is ideally located, on the perimeter of the bustle yet not in the thick of the congestion. Excellent breakfast buffet. Everything you would look for in the morning meal. And, an automatic, push-button barista if you don't want to wait for a human barista. The air conditioner was making a bit of noise; I noticed the "change filter" light was illuminated; I reported the noise; they changed the filter and the noise ceased. Rooms are especially spacious. Immaculately clean. Great shower stall. The rooms are so clean, you could perform surgery in one. The front desk manager speaks every major language like a native, even Esperanto. "Tutto a posto" as we say in Italy ... everything was as it should be ... no complaints.
