Easy check in and check out. Very friendly and accommodative staff. Breakfast selection is simple but had the right selection. Nicely served. Location is at the heart of Matera. Our room was a two floor , very large and comfortable ... Nicolas was very helpful.
We loved everything about our stay. The room was beautifully decorated and impeccably cleaned - the sheets and towels were superb. We loved the little balcony that allowed us to do some people watching from above and the location, right in the heart of Matera. The bed was comfortable and we had the best sleep. The family running the B&B was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. A wonderful stay in a breathtaking city. Thank you!
This hotel is so beautiful, and in such a beautiful setting, it literally made my mom cry. Cinzia and Nicolas went above and beyond to welcome us and help us navigate our stay (which overlapped with a G7 meeting that interrupted some of the usual workings of Matera) - making restaurant reservations for us, giving us directions through the city, helping coordinate with the parking garage... We were in good hands! The rooms are luxurious, the rooftop terrace is even more beautiful than the pictures, and this hotel is just a magical place in a magical city.

L’Artiere Dimore was brimming with character, personality and details that referenced both Matera and the family who lovingly restored the building. Our family suite was simply elegant and spacious. We loved both the private and our shared rooftop terraces.
