We stayed in a lovely apartment on the beach with a large outdoor seating area. The property has beach access, drink water/sparkling water refill, washing machine, outdoor shower near the beach, free parking. The apartment is clean and free of odor. Our needs were met in the little kitchenette. We walked to town via the beach and enjoyed the cute town of Santa Maria which has many restaurants and bar cafes and markets.
The location was perfect. The apartment totally exceeded expectations. It was excellent value for money. Beds comfy, view amazing. Unlimited free drinking water was a nice touch.
Our independent travels in Europe began in 1966 at Cdn$4.50/pp/per day and we have returned many times since.
WE have hiked, biked, boated, driven and taken public transport. Needless to say we have have many fine memorable experiences. There was something quite unique about the one we had at this resort. It has been more than a decade since we have encountered a receptionist/manager as knowledgeable, active, friendly, and fast acting as was Karen. When you combine multilingualism with scientific knowledge and a penchant for fast action, and warp it up in a friendly and outgoing personality, you have one in a million. So good we extended our stay from 3 to nine days.
Extra special thank you to Karin who went far beyond anything you could reasonably ask for to solve a problem with a hire car. She prevented our stay being spoiled by a problem which was not her responsibility.
Next to the beach location, great views, no resort-type turmoil, great terrace. Very friendly and helpful administrator Karin.
