The rooms at Residenza d’Epoca Il Cassero were beautiful and spacious. The location in the beautiful town of Lucignano was wonderful, perfectly located for our day trips to the Val d’Orcia, Siena and Firenze. The pool about a 15mins walk was very appreciated in the July temperatures of 32-38C. Also, the breakfast offered at the nearby caffe (not the nearest one).

Situated in a very old italian medieval walled hill-top village, Il Cassero property is right on the outer walls welcoming you with a beautiful garden and cool villa (literally cool because of the shade and thick stone walls, especially in the summer heat). The interior is antique but well maintained, and the room was large providing all the confort and amenities needed. Lucignano is well situated so travelling times between other Tuscan attractions are short. We will return for sure!
The apartment is spacious and large, the place has a special charm, like a hotel on the edge of the old city, and an observation tower overlooking the surroundings.
This place is amazing! The house is centuries old and absolutely beautiful. It is conveniently located at the edge of the old town, and yet you also have access to a little piece of paradise about a kilometer away, where you can relax by a large pool with stunning views of the valley.
The host (Massimo) is super accommodating and helpful. He provided us with breakfast vouchers that we could use at several breakfast bars in town (we chose the one right outside the gate, which was great).
We’d most definitely book this place again - highly recommended!!
