Everything about our stay at Santino's House was way above and beyond anything we expected. Leandro is a professionally trained chef and his breakfasts were a visual and scrumptious delight. He is an artist and everything about the property reveals his discerning eye and hand. He recommended two restaurants; the first a simple bistro owned by two charming sisters; the second, Trattoria della Posta, a fine dining place in the hills above Peveragno; both wonderful. We were the first American guests at each of these. He recommended hikes in the Pesio valley; ascend along the right side for the best mountain views and trout counting in the deep clear pools. Peveragno is not a tourist town though it has a charming medieval center.
Host Leandro maken you feel very welcome and is a great chef! The breakfast is extraordinary with selfmade specialties (only local produce) and so is the diner Leandro makes you for a small fee. We stayed the night before and after a 4-day trekking in Marguareis national park which made it extra pleasurable to indulge in the luxury and comfort and great food of this place!

Rooms and bathroom are very spacious, super clean and recently renovated. In spite of being located steps away from the village center, where you can have lunch and dinner. Breakfast is home made by Leandro (professional chef) and his wife: freshly baked cakes, cookies, croissants, bread, various varieties of cheese, omelets, home made jams and honey, freshly brewed espresso or coffee, juices. It is pretty evident that everything in the property and whatever offered is a mirror of the passion Leandro and his wife are putting in the business, including interesting conversation at the breakfast table.
We had an exceptional time. Leandro is a great host. He is a wonderful Chef, who prepares a great breakfast with surprise Piemont specialties and very tasty omelette. The room was brand-new and spacious with view of the mountains.
