Location is perfect! It is perfect for a stay in a cave, just what we wanted! Everything was very clean, the beds were also pretty comfortable (didn't try the one in the furthest-in room tho.
This location was a 5 minute walk to the main plaza and the best sites. The rooms were very well done and clean. The bathroom was impecable and well built. A high ceiling and a round cave like feeling was a really nice detail. Likewise they had a nice cappuccino maker which was a great addition. Overall I can’t say anything bad as the experience in Matera was above what we expected. The manager was always in contact with me, responded to my messages quickly and when I asked for an additional towel it was ready promptly.
Absolutely gorgeous cave apartment. It was pristine and the location was impeccable. Would definitely book again!
Fabulous location, great kitchen supplies and quantity of crockery, nicely appointed, good communication. Unit had good airflow, bathroom was lovely, small but very handy and useable kitchen. Incredible town, friendly locals, amazing walk into the gorge and view from cathedral as evening my lights came on! Def worth seeing even if no sunset due to clouds! Handy free parking close by.
