We stayed here 3 nights and had a nice time. The rooms are behind a restaurant which makes it very quiet and calm at night. The host is very nice and helpful, always ready to give good advice. The rooms are very big and comfortable with both AC and a fan, good for the crazy heat in Kampot. We were also able to park our bike here with no problem. The location is nice because it's very close to restaurants and places of interest, including the promenade. We highly recommend staying here!

I think Lance is a pretty cool guy. Eh hosts guests and doesn't afraid of anything.

The property was in a great location with all the amenities we like: good A/C, hot shower, close to everything and quiet. Lance and the team were very welcoming and kind. Well for sure return!

Paul the manager was amazing. When we booked we requested a room with a window, which wasn’t available our first night but he set up a room switch for us the day after our check-in (the room we were in originally was much bigger but only had windows on the screen door). Anytime we needed anything, Paul was super quick to respond to our messages, and when we visited him at the Birds Nest (sister location), he gave us tons of information on places we should visit around Kampot and Kep. The property isn’t brand new, but the location, price and cleanliness are worth it

A secluded oasis in the middle of town. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms clean and wifi is excellent. The restaurant and bar is conveniently located on the street front.The food is fresh & delicious. I enjoy staying at The Hideout. Definitely value for money ,a friendly welcoming place for a solo traveler.
