We loved the value for money. We had a private room, which was comfortable, clean, and featured a nice view and a balcony. We liked that the hosts were friendly and helpful. We had a calm, quiet night, although the hostel was empty, so we're not sure if this applies to times when it hosts more guests. The location is also great, far from noise and traffic, but close to the town and the mountain if you're into hiking.

Loved the location, it's on the edge of town so it's quieter than the center of town and a very short walk. The room we had was more than we actually needed, we booked the family room on the first floor with a double bed and bunkbeds. The staff is supurb. We were a little disappointed that the kitchen is not currently serving meals but there is a fully equipped kitchen for the use of all guests and a large area with tables and couches to hang out in. Very clean and comfortable rooms and beds. We plan to extend our stay in Colombia and booked another room for 5 days after a side trip to San Rafael which I highly recommend.

I was very happy with my private room/private bath on the second floor. Super convenient to have the hostel as a meeting point for various tours. The restaurant situation is great -- lovely view, wonderful food, and the opportunity to meet other folks.

Almost everything, from the nice room to the great restaurant food, the hot water the very nice staff.
