Giovanni was incredibly hospitable and kind. He took us on a nature night hike to see different frogs and lizards and other wildlife. He accommodated our early morning departure by cooking us a fresh, typical Costa Rican breakfast very early!
The property is beautiful, easily the most biodiverse and interesting property that we visited in our ten days in CR. The host and his family are kind and really into making Guapote a great stay.

It is nestled in what feels like a forest with a stream running through it
Everything was great, family business running their Lodge with so much love. They were very welcoming and flexible to accommodate us. Our stay was fabulous, we saw sloths in the forest right next to our room and heard the forest night life, fabulous experience! We had everything we needed for our night there, highly recommended! Small attentions worth everything, would definitely come again.
it was beautiful! so much nature and there were sloths! The host was very friendly and showed us where to find the sloths. The food was excellent - like a 5* restaurant! Highly recommend this place!!
