What a beautiful gem on the entire planet. I will definitely be coming back to this place. It’s everything I was looking for, serenity, beauty, relaxation, nice people and excellent food. You can’t be further off the beaten path with this one. Only accessible by boat. If you’re looking for laid-back beach vibes, this is your place.
Our stay (two friends) at Berenice’s was wonderful. Luch and Maurice tools wonderful care of us. We booked the sea view room that had a king and two twins in a separate room. There are private loungers outside on a patio and a large deck with more chairs Fresh coffee was delivered to the room each morning. We were spoiled for beaches. The one out front is lovely and then you can walk in low tide many others around or paddle in high tide with the kayak or paddle boards. We are all of our meals in house. Lunch and dinner always included a starter, main, and dessert (lunch dessert was always a variety of fresh fruit). All meals included amazing fresh fish and seafood. Breakfast was bread, jams, honey, tea, coffee, fruit, yogurt.
Staff were amazing and the hotel and location were just utterly peaceful and relaxed.
We had issues with our flight and could not make it to the hotel our first night - the boats dont go once its dark. They were very understanding and advised us a hotel nearby the port on Nosy Be and made arrangements for our transfer the next day!
The staff made sure it was a wonderful time. They also bring coffee each morning and make sure your terrace is rain proof by gathering all the stuff each night. We went for a full board and everyday the lunch and dinner varried. They mentioned it"d be 80% fish, but we saw that if you prefer meat they can cater to that. The cocktails are also great and if you can't choose, just let them make you something and be surprised!
The dog and cats were friendly, a big plus for us animal lovers.
