This is a perfect hotel to choose for your central Penang access! The restaurants, shops and fruit stands are all around the hotel. You must give it a try. There are only a few rooms inside the hotel building, and you have a public library study on the 2nd floor, which is awesome!
The property itself is beautiful, with lots of old charm and convenient amenities. The staff was friendly and the location was perfect. The sweet treat surprise at night was a thoughtful touch!

The welcoming and friendly staff is the best part of my stay, from the receptionists who recommended me local food to eat for almost every meal, to Mr. Lin who is like a loving Chinese uncle who gave me rec for Durian and always wanted to make sure I felt comfortable with the temperature in the lounge area, to the staff at the Italian restaurant who remembered which wine I enjoyed the night before.
I enjoyed the interior decor and layout of the hotel too, as well as the complimentary fresh ice tea and desserts given to me daily in my fridge.
Classic George Town accommodation. Well-kept and maintained. Lovely breakfast and great service from the staff.
