Appreciated that there was a restaurant on site and a pool.

Very clean, incredibly nice people, good restaurant.

Super friendly and accommodating staff. Spacious clean room with AC. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Delicious breakfast - in general a surprisingly good and reasonably priced restaurant on the property. Nice shaded pool and pool area. Fast wifi. The place have everything you need for a comfortable stay - there is no need to leave the premises.

We stayed at the Hotel Bacaanda because it was about halfway between Oaxaca and San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, knowing that with our large dog we didn't want to drive the whole way in one swing. The staff was nice, the room was clean (they'd originally wanted to put us in what I'd think is considered one of their nicer rooms upstairs, but our dog didn't like the metal slat stairways). So, they moved us over to a ground floor room which was fine by us. There's not a lot to do in Union Hidalgo unless you have friends or family there, so we enjoyed some beers and dinner out by the pool. Breakfast was good and was a nice surprise that it was included in our room rate. If we pass back that way again, I'd certainly consider staying there again.
