We booked this for the history it represents, and it delivered! It advertises itself as clean and comfortable and it was both and the price was great. We arrived during a hot spell and the air conditioning worked well. They warned us that the hot water might need some time, but in our experience it was fine after just a few minutes. The nostalgic pieces of decor that they kept added to the experience. We were able to borrow a hair dryer from the front desk, so if there is something you need be sure to ask.
The hotel is very well located. It’s an old hotel, but you know this when you book it. The rooms are vintage but the bad ratings on booking do not represent the hotel. Everything is just okay, like you would expect, the staff is friendly and the price you pay, is fine. The breakfast is small, but really fine. You shouldn’t expect an enormous buffet, it was just okay and nice
