I had a VIP chalet and it was enormous. It had a private pool, a bar area, a living room and a beautiful bathroom. I thought I got a lot for my money. The staff was lovely. I took a tour of the Bushmen paintings and a desert elephant game drive. Both were great. Our guide worked hard to track the elephants so that we could see them. The location is remote and quiet. I loved how the buildings were built into the landscape and utilized the rock formations and nature versus constructing a monstrosity in the midst of an incredible place. Great star gazing location as there is zero light pollution.

The main reason to stay here is location - right by the rock engravings site (there are even some within the lodge grounds!). Buffet was good. The room was fine in terms of cleaniness and comfort.

Great location, friendly staff, buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner had everything one could wish for. The location to the petroglyphs and burnt mountain make this the most logical choice in the entire region, Our room was absolutely the greatest built with massive rocks and a wonderful private pool. It doesn't get much better.

We had a great time at the lodge. The rooms were spacious, and the service from the staff was amazing. The food was good- the staff even "reserved" a table for us because we kept going back to the same one every day. Little things like that asking how was our stay- bringing us things not on the "menu" when we asked if they could provide it. We would highly recommend staying here- beautiful location, great sites to visit close by, and a very attentive and friendly staff.
