The hosts! Adorable and welcoming
Excellent cuisine at good price
Very informal small town and equally informal inn. Very friendly staff. Nice live music in the garden. The town is worth visiting for its proud history. NZ Labour party formed here. Famous strike in 1908. A lot of hippyish people came in after the mine closed. Still has that vibe.
The building was old but 'homely'. Staff were very friendly, informative and helpful. Super amazing meal! and more than I could eat. Clean and comfortable, we would stay there again no problem.
The owners and staff were very friendly and it was interesting to learn about the history of Blackball which was reflected in the name of the bar and the photos on the wall. Our room was clean and pleasant. Dinner and breakfast were nice.
Pat and Jane are great hosts.. Really friendly and helpful. The food was very good. The inn is an excellent place to stay before starting the Paparoa track.
