Out of all my years of traveling and check-ins, this was by far the most friendliest welcoming I've had. The room was excellent value and the lady was very accommodating to my two grandbabies aged 2 and 3. I will 100% return. Room was huge and comfortable i didn't want to leave.

Excellent amenities and comfortable bed. Bathroom shower was top notch.

This motel was amazing. We made a reservation at the last minute and managed to get the last two rooms, although we only wanted one room, but it worked out perfect. Unfortunately, we stayed one night (New Year's Eve), but would definitely stay there again when we are in the area. Highly recommend this motel.

On a recent 9 hotel visit to NZ this hotel was the cheapest yet up the top with the 3 "big name" hotels we used. My wife and I could not fault the room (named after a past NZ racehorse) nor the entry and general "feel" of the place. Unfortunately it was not well occupied (3 rooms all up) when we went which we found very surprising. That probably was the reason the restaurant and bar were shut. The bar was adjacent to the reception and it looked a very inviting place to relax after our drive from Wellington. I wish the proprietor a deservedly good future. It has free parking which is always welcome (although as a "smaller" NZ town possibly all the hotels are similar).
