Good location, very clean, two bedrooms, good value. Great owner. Free parking.
Very nice motel in beautiful Akaroa, well equipped and very well located, a very nice stay.
Clean, comfortable room. Adequate cooking facilities with enough cookware and utensils to prepare simple meals in our room. Loved the little balcony. It’s at the back of the hotel so very quiet. Enjoyed being surrounded by trees, shrubs, and plants. Loved listening to the babbling brook.

Lovely property located along a creek and in walking distance close to Akaroa town center. Extraordinary manager, Erica - welcoming, informative, accommodating (she set up and equiped barbecue at my request), and attentive in keeping room and outside area spotlessly clean. Useful kitchenette with all utensils and accessories with a charming over a softly running creek at rear of room providing the perfect ambience for a private meal.
My partner and I had an excellent stay at La Rochelle Motel in Akaroa! From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff made us feel so welcome and even knew my name. They were incredibly accommodating, offering to look after our bags when we arrived early from the bus and again after we checked out, as we had the whole day before our 4pm bus. The owner even offered to get us to the bus stop if we were short on time, which was so thoughtful.
The beds were very comfortable, and the free Wi-Fi was a great convenience. We loved the lovely balcony and all the facilities the room had to offer, including everything we needed for cooking. The location was perfect, close to the shops and attractions like mini-golf. The room was spotless, with great room service, and having Sky TV was a nice touch.
Overall, my partner and I had a fantastic time, and we highly recommend La Rochelle Motel for anyone visiting Akaroa!
