Comfortable bed, nice bath after a week of showers, movable room heater to warm bathroom, access to kettle and fridge in room. Very good location with easy access to Martinborough and on route from Napier to Wellington. Loved the Victorian features and furniture. Difficulty in gaining entry, door locked, waited outside for 30 minutes on a very cold evening and had to phone hotel, eventually let in by another customer. Very unwelcoming reception area, only one chair to sit on which generated a very uncaring approach. Access to WiFi was poor, had to return to reception area and get a second user password, which kept closing. No information in room about local amenities.
