The hotel was clean with a small reception area/cafe at the entrance. (The cafe offered only basic prepackaged food and drink options.) Reception was staffed at all times and check-in and check-out were easy. The family room for four was a bit larger than some others of the same type in other cities we have visited. Windows could be opened and the area was generally quiet (a group of strolling drunks was a notable exception one night). The location was quite good, about a ten-minute walk from the train station and about five minutes to the quay area and Akershus fortress/city hall area in the other direction.
It was close to everything (10 min walk to downtown or the ocean). The staff was great…especially Mia.

This really was a great place to stay as a base in Oslo! The room was spacious, the beds comfortable, the kitchen clean and useful, and the staff really friendly. For Oslo, this was great value for money!
There was A/C. 24 hours reception. The beds also have the curtains and outlets. I had a quiet and comfortable night. Location and the decoration was great. Enough and clean bathrooms. It’s definitely worth staying in there.
