The room. Serious Safety Concern: This is a message to future guests, the building owner and executive management of Traveller’s Hotel located in Al Barsha 1, Dubai. The windows on the bathtub wall are an extreme safety hazard and must be addressed. They are too low for a bathtub wall and extremely dangerous. While standing in the shower to bath the safety issue is very recognizable, particularly for anyone who is physically impaired with challenges of physical balance (such as an elderly person) or anyone who is of taller stature. If someone should slip and lose balance while showering in the tub and fall against these low windows the person may likely go out the window. I was on floor 11 in room 1105. I assume all rooms ending in 05 located in the far corner (when exiting from the elevator make left) most likely have the same bathroom window design. Windows in bathrooms are nice, however this particular size and design over the tub is extremely dangerous and should be changed immediately to a window placed at least 2 feet higher. This is an extremely serious safety concern. I was nervous every time I showered. Please have engineers examine and have construction teams make necessary changes to the window. To all future guests, please be aware. Fire codes and safety codes should prohibit things from being left in stairwells. As much as it pains me to say this, all of us should be as earth friendly as possible and provide recycling. IT and Housekeeping were kind and professional. The building has great potential but is overwhelmed by deferred maintenance. My apologies for needing to post negative comments. Sincerely.
