As everyone before us has said: super clean, very comfortable, on demand hot water, safe, walking distance to university and local shops.
A local lady sells home baked goods on the corner (our of her van) every day starting at 3pm - 2 sol each - best cookies with caramel ever!
Felipe was super helpful, relaxed, provided treats and we really enjoyed talking with him (fincas, motorcycles and tips on the city). We were grateful for the courtyard car parking.
Room very clean and bed was comfortable. Safe location on a quiet street, an easy walk to the historic plaza. Bus to Chan- Chan and Huanchaco nearby. Owner is friendly and helpful.
Felipe is a great and inviting host. Very friendly and takes care of everything you need. Great for motorcycle travelers as your can put the motorcycle inside and Felipe knows all about motorcycles. The hostel is very nice in a great part of town in a very nice old classic house. The rooms were cozy and the beds were very comfy. One of the best places I've stayed.
This was such an excellent place! The room was bigger and nicer than it looked in the pictures and super comfortable. It’s located a short walk from the plaza de armas and right on the corner for the buses to Chan Chan ruins and the beach. The owner was incredibly friendly and went out of his way to make us comfortable and welcome.
Our stay at Hostal Donde Alberto was amazing. We only stayed for one night and was very impressed with everything. The bedroom was spacious and clean, and it had complimentary snacks and water. The bathroom and shower was very clean and had hot water. The best part was the host. He woke up at 4 am and called us a taxi to the airport. we were short a few soles so he gave us the extra 5 soles we needed. We would highly recommend this hostal to any of our friends and family.
