We loved everything! Such a welcoming feeling came over us as we entered the hotel. We were greeted and Domingo helped with our bags to our clean and quiet room. He suggested a few good places for us to eat dinner on a Sunday night. Meeting Rui the next morning was a delight. He greeted us with a delicious breakfast that we ate on the lovely terrace overlooking the mountain. He provided us with great ideas of how to complete our day. The location was within a short, flat walking distance to the historic centre. So happy that we had 3 wonderful nights at Hotel Nova Sintra.

Beautiful property within walking distance from Sintra’s train station. The hospitality shown by this family run-business was exceptional. A must-stay if you are in Sintra. Highly recommend staying a couple days and exploring some trails and beaches around the area. Rui had great recommendations!

Great location, near train/bus, short walk to old town, it felt very safe, was well run, offered a great breakfast, provided excellent restaurant recommendations, helpful tips on booking visits to monuments and using local transportation.

Rui and Simao were great hosts and very helpful. The location is great, close to excellent restaurants like Incommum and Mela Cannela, and many others. It is in walking distance to the Historic City center. You have great views of the Moorish castle from their patio and there is a lavendaria right next door if you need to wash your clothes. You are also in walking distance to the trains. Bus station to the castles are just a block away. I enjoyed learning the history of the hotel and enjoyed many conversations with Rui and Simao. Sinatra was one of our favorite stops on our trip in Portugal and at the end of each day we were there, we alway felt like we were coming home.
