Hotel Portofoz has a lovely water view of the sea; a close walk to the beach and is also very close to the city center by bus. Easy access to restaurants, shopping and grocery/supermarket. Hotelier Jorge was very welcoming, accommodated our late check-in at close to midnight with a smile and helped my elderly mother with her luggage. Lovely nightcap of port and fascinating conversation on our last night. Jorge personally made up a complimentary continental breakfast tray of bread, cheese, jam, butter and teas for our early pre-dawn morning departure. Superb attentiveness to the little details!

It was near beautiful ocean walks. My room was lovely with a balcony and fantastic bathtub and shower. Breakfast was ample. The staff were warm, wonderful and helpful.
Beautiful room with incredible views of the ocean! Hosts were accommodating in letting me check-in early, which I really appreciated. When Fatima heard I had a super early morning flight the next day she went out if her way to pack me a breakfast bag full of food to take to the airport. I truly cannot say enough about this place, it was exactly what I needed on my last night in Porto! Perfect for Camino walkers, btw.
I can't recommend Portofoz highly enough! From the moment we arrived, George and Fatima made us feel so welcome – it was like coming home. Fatima went above and beyond to help us with every detail of our stay, while George was incredible in recommending activities and even assisting us with late check-in, train line information, and the history of the area.
The location is absolutely perfect, just steps from the beach, making it an ideal spot for relaxation. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the shower was fantastic – just what we needed after a day of exploring.
Portofoz is not just a hotel; it's an experience, thanks to the wonderful team and their exceptional hospitality. George and Fatima truly made our trip unforgettable. We will definitely be back!
