Beautiful Historic Hotel with original furniture, high ceilings and antiques in common areas. Great breakfast with fresh squeezed Orange juice. Excellent location within the city walls.

This historical palace just inside the old city walls was a delightful discovery. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast included fresh-squeezed orange juice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Many of the classic attractions in Evora were within a few minutes walk too.

The staff is friendly and very helpful. The location close to the center of town could not be better for a tourist. The ambiance of the hotel is charming, as are the sitting rooms for guests. It is obviously challenging to park near the center of an old Roman/medieval town, and the staff indicated where you could use pay parking nearby the hotel or where one could park for free less than a 10-minute walk away outside just the city walls after dropping off your luggage. Unless you grew up in Evora, I'm not sure you'd like driving around the city more that you have to anyway, and you'd miss a lot of the charm if you do.

All good. The hotel is a quirky ex-palace. Great value that is full of atmosphere. I loved it. Staff was great!

It is a beautiful old stately manor. You feel like royalty. They gave us a room to minimize stairs.
