Lots of space with the bedroom and kitchen living area on separate floors! Our host was fabulous and provided us with several restaurant suggestions that were phenomenal!
I loved everything about this accommodation. Francisco and his wife were wonderful hosts who made sure we had a great stay. They welcomed us with red wine and prepared the room for early check-in which was much appreciated. The location is great - you're super close to the centre of Porto and if you like jogging, it is exactly 5 km to the lighthouse along the river. The room and bed were very cozy, the bathroom extremely clean. Despite being close to a busy road, we didn't hear the noise. It was so nice to stay in a typical old Porto house, and we would definitely stay there again.
We loved our stay in Porto! Francisco and his wife are excellent and attentive hosts and ensured we always had everything we needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again should we ever be back in Porto; the location is great and extremely walkable!
The host was very decent and friendly, the facility was up to our expectations.
Francisco met us upon arrival, gave us a tour and provided a map and detailed list of local attractions. The apartment is within easy walking distance of the Dom Luís I bridge which we crossed to enjoy port tasting in Gaia. We could see pilgrims pass by from the apartment window as they walked toward Matosinhos, the same route we took toward Santiago a few weeks earlier. There’s a busy street in front of the apartment but it was quiet at night and we slept well. There is a charming restaurant, PapaVinhos, very close by that served wonderful Portuguese cuisine. Uber picked us up right out front for a quick 15-20 minute ride to the airport. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
