Taberna Ruel restaurant under the apartment makes you a 10% discount, it is a good restaurant quality. I recommend the lapa, the tuna fish 🐟, choice one for two so you have place for dessert after. Advice : go early!
visit the East of the island for 34 euros all day, buy ticket in a kiosk like Madeira excursions by the oceans’walk.

A lot of useful stuff included like coffee maker, dishes, pots for cooking, washing machine, bunch of towels and blankets. If you stay for several days and you hike you have the option to wash your clothes, lovely.
The owners left us a nice welcome kit with water bottles and shampoo and soaps. Very nice.
The location is fabulous, if you want to dine out- a lot of options around and the apartment is the part of Taberna restaurant itself. But there other stuff around, supermarket is in 10 mins and cable cars of Funchal in 5. You can see the cable from the window.
I liked the proximity to restaurants, cafes and the seaside. The apartment was very spacious and provided everything you need, especially the kitchen, you could cook a proper meal there. When I was there it was super quiet at night, no music at all, not sure if that was due to a new law or off season but I had the best sleep. The bed was also very comfortable for my taste.
Communication was also very excellent and I appreciated all the information received before and during my stay.
Perfect location, very comfortable. Had everything you need. Right in the centre of funchal with parking close by. There is street noise from the restaurants around 6am and until 11pm but we liked it,added atmosphere.
Great location in the old town so easy to get to all the activities.
