Everything. It was a beautifully preserved home, the owner and staff were extremely welcoming, and we slept well. As a guest, you really do have the run of the entire home and grounds. They have a large wine cellar with an honor bar, and several lovely verandas upon which to watch the sun set. We are walking the Camino and took a cab from Caminha to the property because we weren’t sure how busy the road to the house was. In retrospect, I think we would have been fine walking. Breakfast was extraordinary.

The hotel was simply fabulous! Incredibly beautiful. I felt like a princess in my own palace.

Breakfast was great. Location was great. We had this whole house to ourselves. It is a stunner which dates back to 1911. Had a spiral staircase to the roof and all antiques with high ceilings and paintings. had its own wine room with a disco ball! The host was a family member who had all sorts of info on the home. Gardens are beautiful with a pool (didn't use as it was cold) and a gazebo. Was my favorite stay out of 10 homes on this trip biking the camino Portuguese.

Everything. From start to finish, my stay was perfect. The room was spectacular and decorated so thoughtfully. Pool and grounds were stunning. The breakfast was beyond expectations. Beautifully laid out. I have never experienced such incredible hospitality.

This beautiful and lovingly preserved historic home is not to be missed. It was a privilege to be able to share a little of the dedication and commitment the welcoming owners show to this spectacular place. A museum yes, but a living one. The attention to detail and the friendliness of all the staff is simply amazing. We will be back!
