We really loved this apartment! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything you need, the space was clean and the location was everything you could have dreamed of ( a lot of beautiful places easily on foot) We were a group of three and the space was just about right size for us. Even though its near the castle which is the highest point of Alfama, you can easily take the uber (bolt) and by the point he drops you off there is only 5 min walk to the flat, but mostly we didnt even need to take the uber because it was really not a problem for us to walk.
Amazing location. Can't beat it. Cristina was lovely & easy to talk to. Simple check in process. Easy to get to the castle when it opens before it got too busy :) . Would absolutely recommend.
The privacy and location were great! The host Cristina was super helpful with everything.
The location was awesome, close to everything if you like to walk, lots of hills. There was a bus that was very close and took you to the waterfront area. Cristina was a gracious host and I hope to meet her again.
The apartment is very cozy and well located if you want to visit the castle and stay in the old part of town. From the castle and the two viewpoints close by, you can have amazing views of the city, river and the port. There are different restaurants at a walking distance as well as some small grocery stores.
Good to keep in mind that this area has very steep hills and the streets are made in old stone so it’s difficult to walk around if you have any movement restrictions. A taxi should indeed be able to get you very close to the location and the public bus can do this as well.
the staff was incredibly helpful when our taxi driver decided he didn’t want to go into the castle walls as the streets are narrow. Please check this before you take your taxi!
