The host was exceptionally helpful. When we arrived at 9:30 am on a Sunday morning to the tiny rural train station and couldn't get a cab to pick us up (either no one answered the phone numbers posted for cabs at the station or spoke only Romanian), the owner immediately came and got us. The property itself was in a perfect location-- right across the street from the Mocanita steam train that we had come to visit.

The hosts are the best! They helped with our bags. And be ready to be treated to a welcoming shot of palinca. The location is unbeatable just across the street from the tourist train. Their wooden structure is outside gorgeous and inside cozy.

The house is beautifull, located just in front of Mocanita train station... The hosts were really nice and friendly, very helpfull. All in all we had a really wonderfull stay.

It has the best location in town if you're here for the trip with the Mocanita. It's right next to the railway. The hosts were very nice and friendly. They invited us to a palinca in the evening and coffee in the morning. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for breakfast because we took the 9 am train, but it smelled delicious. Would recommend Casa Buga to anyone coming to Viseu de Sus for the Mocanita.

we were going to the Mocanita so choose Casa Buga because of its proximity. However it’s a great base for other sights in Maramures. everyone was so helpful.
