The location of the property is ideal if you wanna visit Maramures region. It is so simple to divide your trip. U go left and have a lot of points of interest, u go right and have other points to visit. Besides the location, what makes this place truly good are the people running it. It is family run and they go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and give you best time of your life. If u are lucky, you get some best food of the region cooked by the host. I felt more like visiting old friends than going at a pension. A gem in the area.

The hostess was very kind and welcoming. She entertained us with whiskey, helped us dress up in traditional Romanian clothes, and also helped us wash our clothes. Everything was so wonderful.

I was traveling through Maramures to visit some of the beautiful, centuries-old wooden churches they have in the region. Ieud was one on my list as were Poienile Izei and Barsana, which are all very close to here. In any case, this lodging is located on the main road in Sieu, so was super-easy to find. They have a prominent sign out front near their gate if the GPS is failing. In any case, the owners are an extremely kind couple, willing to chat and share some palinka. From their backyard, one can "spy" on the neighbors who have sheep, cows, chickens, and a host of other livestock. I thought the room was super-comfortable, the adjoining bathroom was great, and I slept very soundly. There was plenty of space to car my rental car out back as well.
