The two larger suites (red and yellow) are located a short walk away from the main building, directly on the ocean, and are absolute paradise. The views are incomparable. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. We are not French speakers, but the staff went out of their way to be accommodating. Really enjoyed the on-site restaurant as well as the nearby food choices.
Quirky decor, air conditioning, friendly staff, good shrimp dinner. The side of the hotel looks like a boat. There are tile mosaics everywhere! Try counting all the hearts. The hotel is popular with both foreigners and local tourists. It seems to be a known Instagram spot as many people come to take selfies and photos, especially at the Bob Marley suite on the top floor. Good location too - close to Ngor Right and Ngor Left surf spots. You can even do a surf check of Ngor Left from the heart-shaped window on the second floor. The AC was clutch for the sweltering hot month of October. I love that the shower is in a separate room from the toilet - it means the toilet seat does not get wet when you take a shower.
The staff were excellent and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. My room had a gorgeous private terrace. The entire building is a work of art, perfect for the island. I recommend staying here if you want a unique escape. It was a little quiet, more people should stay here! The island generally is lovely, the people friendly, and there’s a surf camp just a few steps away.
The staff were lovely. Vincent was very helpful and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was on point.
Great location and welcoming staff, they allow us to check in prior the mentioned time and of course their chef is a PLUS! Food was delicious and he was such genuine and professional at the same time.. we loved his special brochette of gambas so much. I may suggest to include breakfast in the room rate as there are not many options for breakfast nearby and it would be nice to have it just included. The island is a tiny one you can walk with no shoes or flip flops all say which I adore. Accommodation is super lovely for (at least) 3 or more nights stay. I wish we could stay longer! It is so quiet, in contrast to Dakar city, that this place looks like a little paradise. I loved the common areas of the maison and the forniture, especially the project to support local artists. Would 100% recommend and return
